I used to struggle with Chemistry and was unable to catch up in school.  My grades started to pick up after joining Teacher Vicky’s tuition.  Teacher Vicky is very detailed in explaining the concepts and patient towards her students.  She also helped me mark out important questions so that I would know how to tackle them during exams.  I am very thankful for her help!  Not only have my grades improved, I’ve also developed a keen interest in Chemistry.

Teacher Vicky is very patient and encouraging.  When I first had tuition with her, I had a lot of misconceptions in many chemistry topics and had difficulty memorising facts.  I was also failing H2 chemistry at that time.  However, she was very understanding and used the topical TYS questions to strengthen my foundation, especially for organic chemistry.

Furthermore, she also highlighted certain question types that were more frequently tested in exams and it helped me better identify and answer the questions more accurately,  She also encourages me to voice out my thoughts when I am unsure of how to answer certain Chemistry questions, so that if I had misconceptions, she can iron them our or suggest a more specific answer. In all, I really appreciated her teaching as her passion for chemistry and her patient teaching enabled me to start liking Chemistry more.  I really want to thank you so much for helping me raise my standard for chemistry, especially for someone like me who really started from rock bottom and finally making it.

Teacher Vicky has been an amazing, kind and supportive teacher since day 1 that I’ve attended her classes.  When I first joined, my chemistry was very weak and lacked foundation.  Although I was slow at understanding concepts and basics, Teacher Vicky patiently helped me by going through the topics which I didn’t understand and giving me practices which helped me alot.  My chemistry grade eventually jumped from a U to a D during mid year and finally a B in A levels!

I only decided to drop Chemistry from H2 to H1 right before prelims so I didn’t really manage to attend any H1 classes. I came under Ms Vicky’s tutelage after I made this decision.  Thankfully, with Ms Vicky’s help, I was able to learn and understand the newer topics in the H1 syllabus as well as clear up any doubts I had on the older topics.  The initial lessons were more for learning the new chapters but as it got closer to A levels, Ms Vicky gave me numerous practice papers. With all the help and guidance, I was able to get an A for H1 chemistry for A levels!

Ms Vicky has taught Chemistry to me for the tail-end of my secondary school life, and most of my JC life. Under her mentorship, my grades have improved remarkably.  While my Chemistry in both secondary and JC were far from stellar, they rocketed up during my final examinations, owing to her regimented work schedule in the “last stretches”.  Thanks to her, I scored A2 for “O”s, and B for my H2 chemistry.

In addition, Ms Vicky is a very patient and dedicated tutor.  Although my Chemistry grades never left the S to U range throughout my JC life, she never gave up on me.  She never fails to clarify key scientific concepts, especially those I constantly struggle at understanding.  She has a gift for explaining concepts in a manner that is simple for her students to grasp.

Most importantly, her relentless support pushed me to study harder at home so that I would be closer to getting my desired results.

Thank you so much Vicky for guiding her throughout the 5 years she was with you.  You have shared valuable advice and knowledge to help us in our decision making while seeing her through O and A level years.  You have been a source of motivation for her and I know you will continue to be a role model and source of motivation for many more students under your care.

Thank you for guiding me in chemistry for the past few months. Coming for tuition has really made me more motivated to study harder and has also piqued my interest in this subject.  I think I am really fortunate to have such a dedicated teacher.  Thank you for always motivating and never giving up on me.

Teacher Vicky teaches chemistry and physics really well to us and gives us very good explanation. She taught us very patiently yet efficiently and my science grades improved after a few lessons (Chemistry from failing grade to A2, physics from B4 to A1).

Teacher Vicky brings Science lessons to life for her students by pointing out science in the everyday environment around us.  Prior to one lesson, she brought my son around her estate gardens and showed him illustrations of all the various topics he learnt on plants.  She also gets her students to do little home experiments of some of the Science topics they learnt.  During lessons she is patient with her students and was effective in illustrating key scientific concepts and how they could improve their techniques in answering science questions.  Teacher Vicky taught my son from Primary 3 to Sec 1.  Under her tutelage, my son enjoyed his lessons and had improved greatly in his Science and grew to like the subject.

I was talking to my son about his revision and he told us that you are very good! In his usual way, not much elaboration after that but it came from his heart. He hardly ever says that of any of his teachers. He will say this teacher is nice, that teacher is nice but I have never heard him say so and so teacher is very good.  I think that is why he is putting more effort into the subject now and also readily said he will continue lessons with you next year when he gets into JC. Thank you Vicky! You have made a difference in him.
